Default Bringing supplies (generators, solar, etc) to Puerto Rico

I know it's a bit late now, but not necessarily too late. I wonder if anyone else had this idea? One of my eBay power inverter buyers emailed me saying they were selling batteries and solar panels at 3x the normal over here rate several weeks after Maria hit.

When I was in Muskegon Michigan there was a 55ft yacht there that was owned by someone who sails around installing solar panels. If he sailed out to Puerto Rico he could have made a fortune but that's not counting the expenses of getting there. The profit may not actually be that high but it would still help out with what's going on over there at least.

As of the beginning of November right now they're probably still around 80% without electricity. I assume that's measured geographically not by utility customer.

There are times when it is inappropriate to 'maximize' one's bottom line. The following article perhaps displays reaction to the practice best:

What are you saying exactly?

There are many on these islands and elsewhere who are victims of Socialist policies such as price controls already.

I am saying that selling batteries and solar panels at three times their usual price, to make extraordinary profits through hurricane victims' misfortune, appears exploitative. You seem to suggest there is a market, ripe for a rip-off, that should be targeted...unless, as you postulate, it's '...a bit late".
Perhaps I misunderstand your intention, and if that's the case I apologize. But it is difficult to draw any other conclusion from your original post.

I would imagine people in Puerto Rico would not be so happy if they found out that people's attempts to bring in supplies were being shut down due to some political agenda.
