Dear sir,

My name is Phanis Koumpis, and I am form Greece and I live near Athens. I'm 35 years old, I’m working as a public servant (arborist) and I have been a sailor from 1984. I have participated in many – many regattas (inshore and offshore). Now I own a 19ft catamaran just for fun (and sometimes for regattas).

I have a 17 years experience in offshore sailing and I can contribute in navigation (excellent knowledge of gps navaids), cooking, night swifts and repairing.

I don’t a have a license, I am a smoker, I drink alcohol in normal quantities and I speak English. I have a valid passport and I have a clear criminal record. All documents may be copied to you if you ask.

Regarding on your needs, in May 2004 I sailed non-stop a 52 Farr as crew from Pireus to Punta Ala (Tuscany – near isl. of Elba) and back, as crew (4 ˝ - 5 days each leg). I have a good knowledge of you route (Tuscany – Symbolo - Messina – Kefallonia – Patra – Rio Bridge – Korinthos straight– Pireus) because during the trip that I mentioned above, I had the duty of navigation.

I would like to join your trip in both legs and I ‘m looking forward to have a reply from you

Best Regards

Phanis

Hi Captain,

My name is Adam and I am a 23 year old Canadian guy from the port of Lion's Head in Ontario, Canada. I have just finished university and am looking for a bit of high sea adventure. I grew up sailing on my father's J29 and on small CL 14 dinghys on the Great Lakes. I instruct sailing at a summer camp in Ontario and have recently completed my 14 week Canadian Power Squadron boating course (April 2009). I have sailed in quite trying conditions in Georgian Bay and Lake Huron, and for short distances on the Atlantic ocean. I have also taken two-week sailing trips along the Aegean and Mediterranean coast of Turkey in 2004-5. (AFter high school i did an Exchange and lived in Turkey for a year. I speak Turkish and am very familiar with the Aegean/Mediterranean coastline from Gallipoli (Canakkale), through Assos, Foca, Izmir, Kusadasi, Bodrum, Fethiye, Kekova, Antalya, and Alanya.

I am a hard worker, easy to get along with, and can take orders very well. I enjoy all work on the boat from chartwork, to cooking, to scrubbing the decks. Non-smoker & social drinker. I would enjoy accompanying you on your Autumn part of your voyage if there are still positions. My time schedule is entirely flexible after August and the point of departure and destination does not matter for me.

Take care, and i hope to hear from you.
Bon voyage
