Dear interested sailor, we have an empty private cabin and are looking for an ageeable person or couple to help us sail back north, up the Windward Islands as far as Florida. You could join us now in Venezuela or later in Grenada.

We want you to chip in on your groceries, about $50 US per week, and of course pay your own travel etcetera.

The ship is 22 meters/72 ft, with 250 hp engine, ketch rigged. We live comfortably, with a fridge and piano and other fun stuff. somewhere on this site is a profile with some more details about us. Petur is captain, I am Rhea and we have a little dog. It is lots more fun and restful to have an extra person along to share watches while we voyage.

hope to hear from you! Regards, Rhea

Hi Rhea Petur,
I am interested in sailing with a good Cap't and crew. I would be interested in joining you after Christmas. I have some beginning sailing experience. I am an easy going healthy, happy female in my late 40's. I am would be very happy to learn much more about sailing and I'm a pretty fair cook. I would be able to come for a couple of months. Do you have any pictures of the boat? What are your expectations for crew.

I'll look forward to hearing from you
Sandi

My name is Mark.I saw your ad for crew. Tell me more about the boat and your trip plans. I am an experienced sailor, although just getting back into it this past year. I have chartered offshore 4 times this year and am looking for short trip crew positions to get me back onto the water and build sea miles. I could connect just about anywhere along the route. I can make a one month commitment, longer if there is cell and internet access from time to time. I am very capable, I can fix stuff, I know electronics and power systems very well, especially solar and wind, really anything electric. I have always been a Jack-of-all-trades kind of guy. I can improvise solutions in a pinch , and I can cook. I own my own Victory 21 which I have raced and sailed off San Diego. I am 49, self employed, easy going, love adventure, a certified diver, and physically fit. . I don't smoke or drink too much.

Tell me more, and lets see if we can put something together. I am pretty flexible as to my availability.

Dear Rhea,

My friend Larry and I are very interested in joining your boat. We both have extensive sailing experience, Larry has sailed across the Pacific and I have sailed across the Atlantic and Pacific as crew on other boats. We love the sailing life, both long passages and short trips. We are quite prepared to contribute to expenses. We are available immediately until mid April 208. Please e-mail us if interested: lcpalmer@kos.net.

Hello Rhea, My name is Sam. I am a very athletic, strong and healthy recent retiree. I have a lot of sailing experience in boats up to about 32 feet and some experience in larger vessels. I have an ASA certification in monohull sailing/cruising, and an ASA cert in Catamarans. I'm 5'9" 165lbs. Educated, retired professional. I'm good humored and easy going but love to stay busy on board. I'm good with tools and like fixing things when they break. I'm a decent navigator and bring my own, dividers, and GPS.
If possible my girl friend could come along too. She's a registered nurse and free lance writer. She speaks fluent French and pretty good Italian and has more sailing experience than I do. We liked your ad a lot and would love to join you if you still have an opening. We live in Tallahassee, Florida and can travel on reasonably short notice. Please contact us at sailor59@embarqmail.com. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Sam

Hello Rhea and Petur,
My name is Anne, and I'm very interested in the possibility of crewing with you.....I was hooked by the thought of listening to piano while anchored in a remote cove. I'm 40 yo, happy and healthy... most of the time. My sailing experience consists primarily of day outings, aside from a two week jaunt in the Gulf. I do have a "stinkpot" of my own, so I am familiar with general boating handling. I am available beginning to mid Feb. until summer arrives here in Vermont.....it usually arrives in July!
Hope to hear from you
