1/Boat; 46 foot Alloy swing keel GARCIA Sloop, Rolls Royce of cruising yachts, fully equiped with everything & everything works perfectly; launched 2001
2/Depart; from Wangerai NZ, you join boat there, we arrive Savu Savu Fiji. you leave the boat there (and so do I) I need one other person only, so total on board will be 2. I will need help with putting all the sails and gear back into order on the boat and taking them off at the other end as the boat is laid up on the ground now and will be left the same way in Fiji. this takes about 2 casual days. 3/Crew; is responsible for travel expenses to and from port of arrival and port of departure 4/Trip duration; 7 to 9 days, departure date betwean may 7 and 12 weather permitting 5/your qualifications; must include some kind of sailing offshore, and you must not get sea sick beyond the point of usefullness. We all get sea sick but some much worse than others. I can handle everything else, really i am looking for company only as a basic minimum. I am a very experienced sailor and navigator, technician, cook, quite happy to teach and there is always something to learn from others. I am nearly elergic to cigarete smoke! 6/ your financial contribution; is limited to the food you eat and the drink you drink. So as I am not an big or extravagent eater I suppose we go to the shops and split the bill (no drinking alchohol at sea except a beer or 2 each day). I pay for everthing else in relation to running the boat, port fees, marina fees. You pay for your own visa's or any costs that relates to your passport. I've got to get into this business of sailing around getting people to pay their own way for weeks at a time while working on my boat.
I don't know many people that can afford a positions and work shore base for days at that pay rate. This post has been edited by Lighthouse: Mar 15 2008, 10:34 AM
