the authorities are charging 29 to 50 euros per day to tie up to a mooring and 40 to 60euros in fornells ....last place to anchor is south coast ... port of mahon is 140 per night and no anchoring...

Anchoring tax in Mahon ,Menorca

There is a tax to anchor in the lagoon under the Mola at the entrance to Mahon harbour . A police boat comes to collect the money twice a day.

on arriving in mahon one is greeted by a police boat with a blue flashing light
directing visiting yachts to the moorings. Anchoring is prohibited ...the harbour charges are outrageous

Charges for a 14 meter sailboat are euros 150 a night with water and electricity
extra...no showers or toilets
