Default Trans-Baltic sail

I am looking for crew to help me sail from Lithuania to Sweden. The trip may take up to 10 days and the idea is to leave on a good wind on Monday 3rd August. The total miles to sail will be between 250 and 450.

Depending on the weather the route may take us to Gotland, Öland and then finally to the South coast of Sweden. Alternatively the route will go Poland, Germany and then to Sweden.

The boat is a multihull/trimaran 39 LoA (Length over All). This trimaran is proven as an ocean going vessel, and last year I completed an Atlantic circuit, from Sweden to Panama and back.

This particular boat is not a competitive racing boat, but still sails very well. The engine is undersized and not practical to use any where other than in the harbour.

This is a good trip for anyone wanting to learn more about sailing and get some more miles under their belt.

There is flexibility for when to join and leave the boat, and also how many people we are on board. The boat needs at least 2 crew, and we can be up to 6.

We run a shared expenses deal on board. Generally ports and harbours are very cheap on the Baltic so the expenses will never be high. A good peak estimate is 20 euro per day per person, including all the food and other costs. That may be less depending on how many people we are on board.

I work professionally on yachts and am taking a month off to use my own boat and enjoy some of the nice Nordic summer sailing.

Please visit my homepage at: Furaha on the Water to read about the transatlantic passage from USA to Europe, and to find out more about the boat and me.

I don't mind being asked to give references from previous crew.

Regards.
