I guess everyones already aware that the Panama Canal isnt such a "soft" option . . . ?

We've been here in Colon, for almost two weeks now, and there are so many stories about people being robbed in the town of Colon. The stories are usually passed on, i've only met one of the actual individuals who was the victim of an attempted mugging.

But its not a good atmosphere in Colon, you cant relax . . . . . . and its not pretty.

Most people get through within a week, using an agent to help with the formalities, . . . . the old yacht club at Cristobal Marina, is currently being demolished, all thats left now, is a showerblock.

Last night, someone stole the outboard from our tender, . . . . . they also kindly untied the painter, (so the tender would slip away quietly out of earshot), we've got the tender back at least.

Prices are cheap 'though, and the foodstores (well one them anyway) are very good with lots of brand names, and top quality stuff.
