Default Help needed - Sydney

Hi,

I have the opportunity to buy a really cheap furler for my jib. Problem is it's in Sydney and I'm in Ipswich and heading to Mackay. The seller doesn't want to store it until December, possibly due to a marital disagreement about junk in the yard.

I've offered to pay him a storage fee but if he says "No" I'm screwed. However I'd really like this addition for my future solo cruising.

Anyone want to pick it up from the northern suburbs of Sydney and throw it in their back yard for 6 months? Rewards of beer are possible.

Note: It's 8.5m long and doesn't disassemble, so transporting may require strapping it to a van roof (or using a car and trailer) and driving with flags on front and back, preferably after peak hour traffic has subsided.

Rob

No longer need help with this, thanks.

Seller offered to store it ... for $1.00 a week. Since it would need cutting and extending anyhow I've decided to pass on this one. If anyone has a 20-26 footer needing a furler, see eBay (Australia) before Tuesday. Current price is $1.35
