Is everyone here reporting in from Brisbane OK?

Do you guys need anything? I know a lot of cruising yachties base out of Moreton Bay and I'm wondering whether the marinas there are still above water.

Dinghies?

I am up in Toowoomba guys. we have been hit pretty hard but down in the Lockyer valley, it is like a war zone. Many lives lost, many homes destroyed. The charity I operate has been moving food to help ease the pain but so many have been affected in such a profound way. Brisbane had warning, we didn't!

So very sad.

G'day Rob & Annette. Sure hope all the people in here read your 'total' understatement (as Australians do), cause IT IS the worst disaster to hit Australia in our recorded history. The loss of money & infra-structure (10's of millions & rising) is nothing compared to the loss of life (20 & rising - still 18 missing) & the total dislocation of 1000's of families. All NOT GOOD in any way at all. These floods will change forever the 'mind-set' of all Australians for all time. Tad wet up here but nothing compared to elsewhere. We've been flooded in since mid Nov. but are O.K. Small cyclone sitting just of the coast, But this is the tropics, the 'wet season' & cyclones do happen - every year, so it's just another 'weather related event & we are used to it & prepared. We're alive so ALL'S GOOD !!!

Change subject here. Did you select a 'furler' for the lovely 'SV Blue Lady'? If so let us all know what happened & how much. Our best to you down there. I'll get down there to help when we are out of the woods up here. Ciao for now, james

The city is like a ghost town. Southbank is submerged right up to Grey Street.r. Yeronga and west end are gone in the low lying areas. The Gabba will gotonight when the waters peak about 4 is Oz time.

Suncorp Stadium is submerged up to the first 6rows of seats - also the tennis centre at Tennyson. Pat Rafter arena is full ofwater.
