Default New to Florida and cruising on ocean.

Hello Everybody.
Originally from Denmark, I have lived the last 30 years in Las Vegas, but now split my time 50/50 between Denmark and the U.S. Summers in Denmark, and winters in the U.S.
My dreams and hopes are to buy a smaller liveaboard trawler or yacht, and spend the winters in Southern Florida, living on the vessel, and taking her to The Bahamas, and down The Keys from time to time.
Starting in the mid-nineties and continuing for about ten years I ran a water sports charter on Lake Mead. I had an OUPV (sixpack,) and ran my charters off a 23' wakeboard boat.
So the obstacles I am facing are pretty obvious:
A)I have not been captaining a boat for quite a while.
I have only once or twice operated a vessel on the ocean.
C)I am not familiar with operating larger vessels.
D)I have little to no mechanical skills.
E)Possibly my age? (58)
I am reasonably certain I can re-learn all the theoretical stuff again fairly quickly and easily, and I am planning to retake the OUPV course again.
So my questions are:
How do I go about finding the correct vessel? I am hoping for something in the 40' to 52' range, and I have anywhere from 50K to
possibly 150K to spend. (Maybe more, but I don't think so.)
If I end up finding a vessel, how about docking where they allow liveaboards? I would very much like to be in the Ft. Lauderdale area, give or take 20 miles up and down.
How about running expenses? Dockage fees, insurance, fuel, mantenance etc.
How much expertise do I need to run a vessel like this to the aforementioned destinations. (And possibly beyond?)
And, I am sure, a whole bunch of other stuff I haven't even thought of yet.
If anybody can help in any which way, I'd certainly appreciate it.
I am hoping to fly into Ft. Lauderdale sometime in October hopefully loaded with a lot of new knowledge and information, and start looking for my new boat! :-)
Thanks again,
Tom.
