Default Boat wanted - Indonesia to Australia

Hello!

I'm still looking for a crewing position on a boat to Australia. I'm a slightly foolish man trying to travel the world by bicycle and boats, and I've made it to Singapore, which is about as far as my bicycle can carry me. My plan now is to take the Indonesian ferries down to Bali to look for my lift to Oz.

I'm not sure about this plan, mostly because of the Indonesian ferries, but if I do survive them, what will I find in Bali? Is this a typical stopping off point for boats on their way to Darwin? Or would I be better off trying somewhere else, like Kupang?

Any help is much appreciated

Chris

Both of the following links may be of assistance. There are several races and rallies through Indonesia in the Dry season (starting in June). They are organised by either one or the other of the following. They may be able to provide departure times, race/rally times and ports of call. They may also, if you ask them, put your details on the club notice board. Some boats will be sailing through Indonesia with itinerant crew who will leave the boat in Asia. This will, of course, open crew vacancies for the return trip to the world's most wonderful city, Darwin.
