Hello,

From the Noonsite Malaysia page:

"There are several small boatyards, often with their own slips, on both coasts of the peninsula but as they are used to working on local craft, standards are not high."

I am looking for a boatyard or marina where I can leave my 31 foot boat for 5 months, mid-September to mid-February. I am looking for a place where I can leave the boat "on the hard" or as they call it over there; dry storage or dry birthing. Hope to find a place around Singapore but in Malaysia.

Any ideas?

Solo

In Malaysia - Rebak Marina on a small island off the West coast of Langkawi Island have the most experience in lifting and storing sailboats on the hard for long periods -- a 31ft boat for 5 months just under $2.000 US (say $13.33/day) It would be a good idea to arrange a cover for the boat and regular airings to prevent mold.

Question does the boat have to be taken out of the water for storage ?
