Default Mexico Sea of Cortez

Strong, 37' offshore cruising vessel needs 2 crew. I have done this trip many times, both directions. Leaving SF Bay Area bound San Diego, Cabo and La Paz. We will then cruise the islands and anchorages of the Sea of Cortez. Snorkeling, whale watching, shore trips, pot lucks and the usual delights and diversions await us.

Any age, any gender. Some sailing experience desirable but not essential. Resiliance, congenial disposition and good attitude are essential requirements, I can teach you the rest.

I can consider you for one or two partial legs. Departure sometime after October. More info to follow. This is not a paying job. We will be sharing modest ongoing costs of provisioning and cruising. You must also have a not-about-to-expire passport, funds for entry visas, and enough for return transportation.

Please try to keep your response to three sentences. You will be fully briefed in greater detail as we move forward. Thanks, Charles Lane SV SHAMWARI

Default Sea of Cortez crew

Hello Charles,
You outward bound ?
Still looking for crew?
I just posted the following:

Experienced sailor & owner available to crew 1-3 week stretches. Transports ok.
Just retired 59 yo M. Fit, healthy, easygoing. Good navigation, mechanical, helm and sail-handling experience. I'm not really interested in sailing with big egos or big drama.

Default Southbound

DJ,
Might have room for one more. How quickly can you get to SF? Boat is here, sail date is Dec 5. Southbound LA, SD, Turtle Bay, Bahaia Angles or Ballena, Cabo, Frailles, Muertes, La Paz. Probably 5 days to LA, then we will see.

From there I will plan to do Sea of Cortez unless too cold in which case over to Mazatlan, PV, La Cruz etc.

I could best use help early, ie SF down. This is a pretty easy run, have done it many times. Tayanaa 37 cutter, so far have 1 ineperienced Canadian, a Slovakian who has sailed with me before and one more possible.

This is cost sharing.

Do you have any experience with SSB/Ham? I have Icom 730(?) that sort of works, have the gizmos to get weatherfax, needs to be set up.

My phone is 510 825 8552. Email is charles1919@yahoo.com

Cheers, Charles
