Default Ferrocement Boat Owners Association

This association has been dormant for some time. After re-forming as a Facebook group some months ago it seems there has been enough interest to relaunch it.

The new meeting site is a special forum on crew.org.nz as follows:

Ferrocement Boat Owners Association - Crew.org.nz

Sorry if this offends anyone by leading people off-site, but since ferro ownership is a specialized group there should be minimal impact on CruiserLog.

Surprisingly there are quite a few younger ferro owners about, and the level of enthusiasm for their restoration work is admirable. See you there!

Hope you get the chance to post a link on the Ferro site to Cruiser Log. I think CL is extraordinary in that it is a site which doesn't become involved in the systematic knocking of ferro boasts and their owners. On some sailing sites, it seems such behaviour is regarded as a legitimate passtime.

Hey, it is a legitimate passtime (sic). Someone has to be low man on the totem pole.

Like in occupations, journalists always take the brunt. *grin, duck, run*
