Default Alacrity Sinks ...

Alacrity sank at anchor in Dicksons Inlet, Port Douglas yesterday. The local coast guard , police etc didn't want to know when contacted by a concerned yachtie of the danger Alacrity was in, pushed onto the mangrove bank, heeling, and taking on water.

Efforts by local yachties were not successful.

Lex

I tried adding a pic but am not sure how ...

Hate to see that happen. I am guessing no one was on board then.

Was she abandoned prior to this?

She belongs to a guy in Brisbane, wh knows what happened ... no one was on board at the time. With the heavy rains we have had here and the high winds, 60 knots, her stern was driven onto a mangrove shore and stuck fast in the mud. The tide went out and she rolled over and thats all she wrote ...
