Morning all, I would like your opinion on a Canadian built Cruiser my wonderful wife and I are looking at. It is a 40' Aurora, designed by Mark Ellis.

We are planning on cruising the coast and islands over the next years, then have plans after the kids are out of the boat, (LOL) to cruise to the Med for extended travel. Curious if anyone has any opinion on this type as I have not heard of the name before and cannot find much out about it on the internet.

As always, thanks and happy cruising!!!

Steve and Jess

Hello Steve and Jess,

I guess this is one of the first boats built by Hinterhoeller in 1977, when Mark Ellis teamed up with him.

There was one for sale on Ebay, not sure if it is a good idea to buy a boat at an auction without a conditional survey; especially in view of the boat's age.

Take Care !

I am using my work laptop as I am away on a business trip at the moment.

It is running on Windows XP Professional, 2002, Service Pack 2 with Internet Explorer 7 (version 7.0.5730.11 to be exact). The PDF reader is Adobe Reader 8.1.0.

Yes, I was able to download all 4 pages of the document without any problems.
