Just returned to Australis II from the resort opposite the marina here in Kota Kinaballu after happy hour and a sampling of the local cocktails at the wet bar. Have never had to worry about imbibing too much before and falling off your stool and drowning in the pool
. They have life rings behind the bar for customers who do although I couldn't see an Epirb. 5 Ringet each which is about $1.25 Australian
Cooking chicken kababs on the back deck as we watch the sun go down. Chainplate leaks now fixed and tomorrow we lift the big saloon table and check out the water tanks. If all ok - hook up the fridges and connect the final wiring and fingers crossed - cold Jimmy Beam tomorrow!
The only other thing is to work out why the depth sounder goes mental when you switch the engine on. Pretty sure its the alternator but well go for a test sail in a couple of days and check it out.
Hopefully the next week will be sailing up or down the coast and getting a feel for how she sails.
