Week 3 and we've just about finished wiring in the new 12v and tomorrow we hook up the 240v. The place is still a massive mish mash of old wiring but we're slowly working through it, pulling out old systems and getting things organised.
The wind generator pole is now atop the mizzen and sometime over the next two days after my legs and bum have recovered from sitting aloft for 4 hours threading bolts, we'll try and hoist the wind gen up there.
Then it's hook in the shore power, adjust the revs for the genset so it can output 240 instead of the current 110, replace the packing on the stuffing box, reprovision and we may just get away for a sail up north.
Well that's what I'm promising the crew
Oh - before that, we have to tackle the unknown behind the nav desk (see images). I heard from the previous owner that the last electrician who ventured in disappeared without a trace.
