Thought I'd share some good blogs and web sites of sailors presently making their way around the globe on various size boats with different tales to tell.

Alex Dorsey got tired of the rat race in LA and went to sea. Just completed solo from Panama to Marquesas

Father & daughter team presently making their way to Marquesas from Gallapagos. Well written and laced with humor from the daughter Cass.

Julie & Chris are a sharp sailing couple who are making it all look easy with 210mile days on a Swan

Chris & KT from Ventura CA now in Australia (great websites)

Liz is a young surfer/sailor from Santa Barbara that grew up sailing and is now in Panama.

Sand Dollar just made the crossing to Marquesas from Cabo solo in 24 days

Also a list of cruising yachts' webpages:

CRUISING YACHTS

Also:

THE CRUISING YACHTS WEBRING.

Also:

SAILING BLOGS

All the above links will keep you busy for weeks.

One that is very interesting to me is Yacht Prrrfection - a very brave and adventurous lady who is circumnavigating with her children.

Wow, now that is a story (Yacht Prrrfection)! I've often wondered what Lori would do if something happen to me while we were cruising.

It doesn't seem like she has been keeping the blog up to date for quite some time. Is everything OK?

I got an email from her today after not hearing anything for months - she is still in Tahiti and will update her blog in the next couple of days.

Sounds like she has found her paradise and might be in Tahiti for a while.

Liz Clark has a new addition to her log. It is refreshing to read about good people these days.

Nice feature to track circumnavigating cruisers' blogs on GoogleEarth HERE

Keep track of the yachts and read the updated blogs from where they are.

Thanks, I have bookmarked several of these blogs already. I clicked on the Sand Dollar link - but don't get any new info - he indicated he'd be back online in April 08 - anyone heard from him?

Nope...I've been checking and waiting as well. He may very well be enjoying NZ too much.

We sold everything 4 years ago, bought a boat to liveaboard, took our boys out of school and set off sailing around the world (slowly)

Our blog and website can be found below. I hope you enjoy it and it is slightly different to the normal sailing blog

www.Cygnus3.com

What an amazing life this is.
