Friends in Darwin?
We departed Brisbane in early August and have just arrived in Darwin!
Enjoyed perfect sailing conditions from Cairns north to Thursday Island and bagged six fish along the way! It's all been good with great company and only minor problems with the boat. Biggest issue is my mast track extrusion has broken, allowing a few slides to come free. Parts are already enroute.
New crew will be joining Gallivanter this weekend and I'm hoping a new mast track extrusion will be delivered by Concorde early next week.
I realize I've been slack in staying up to date with this terrific forum and for that I appologize. I've been caught-up in the Brisbane Rat Race. My Bad.
Anyway - I'd love to catch up with any of you who may be here in Darwin. I'm anchored off the Sailing Club at Fannie Bay. My local phone number is 0416 776 296. I'll be here a week before setting off for the Spice Islands of Indonesia.
Give me a call! Let's get together! I'll shout the first round!
To Life!
Kirk
