Default Going on cruise out of San Pedro harbor and need to know...?

if it is safe these days to bring "Medicinal" brownies. I have done it before, always putting it in my checked bag. But I feel a little paranoia this time and would like to hear from anyone who has cruised to Hawaii in the past year. I have heard Princess is lax, and i did do it last year. Helpful info is GREATLY appreciated. Blessings and peace...

I think it may be a little unfair, to put members of an open forum in a position where they are being asked to publically sanction what is clearly an illegal activity.

Do we poop in the ocean when close to shore, do we throw plastics in the sea, do we fail to declare weapons or seek to get extra benefits through avoiding taxation when buying goodies for the boat? Some do, most don't. It comes down to a matter of personal choice and conscience.

Take your brownies into Indonesia or Malaysia and you would receive little sympathy when possibly sentenced to death. Break them out in a marina in the US and you may be hailed a hero.

The bottom line is that, irrespective of what we think of a particular law, having a stash in any form is illegal and flaunting the law can have severe consequences. Only you can assess the level of risk you are willing to take.

I will quote here a point from my Ship's Articles:
Penalties for carrying illegal drugs vary from country to country and include death, confiscation of property (including the boat) or terms of imprisonment and fines. Any person who brings on board or knowingly allows another to bring or keep on board any illicit drug, may be handed to the authorities and will be put off the ship at the first opportunity.

Anyway, welcome to the forum and I hope we see you return to tell us of your forthcoming journey.
Best wishes.

PS. Paranoia is, many would claim, a consequence of eating too many medicinal brownies.
