I would go to either La Corunna or preferably Bayonna as a first stop, 3-4 days depending on what you are sailing and then down the coast about 10-15 miles out. You should get northerlies and a south going current. Note that there are lots of pot markers which you may come across a long way off land, so sailing is much better than motoring.
Lots of other stops on the way and you can also explore the Rias of Northern Spain, call in at Lisbon etc. Once you get to Cape St Vincent you are virtually there - easy sailing most of the way and weather should be fine once across Biscay (or even crossing Biscay at that time of year)
