Default Position Update finally in Alaska

Hey all, I've been off the forums for a bit as we've spent the last month or so out of internet range mostly. We sailed up from San Francisco into Alaska in that timeframe. Loads of southerlies to give us a lift so we've had some rather exciting sailing along the way.

Our house bank of batteries had a problem (seems one of the 6V L16's decided its time was up and it more or less shorted out mid trip. Thus we find ourselves at the moment in Ketchikan in a slip awaiting new batteries before we continue onwards touring the wonders of southeast Alaska. Details on much of our trip are on our blog and I'll endeavor to get anchorage information into the wiki soon. Here's a couple pics we posted there of the lovely surrounds up here:

What a wonderful trip, and on a wooden boat!

We're finally heading back south again. We'll be down in British Columbia in a bit over a week from now, after having wandered around Alaska for almost three months.

Fair winds,

I have enjoyed looking at the photos of your boat near the glaciers, and the prawns look delicious!

What an amazing place to cruise too...and in such a lovely old boat!

Seeing the photo of you holding your cat in the cockpit made me think the cat would be a great handwarmer on those chilly days. Another good reason to have a cat aboard.

Safe Sailing!
