Sea of Cortez

Does anyone have any experience sailing in the Sea of Cortez? If so are there any people on this message board that has a trailerable sailboar they've launched in Mexico? I would like to know how easy or difficult the process of getting a boat into Mexico and then into the water as well as security at the ports where you'd have to leave your vehicle and trailer.

Robin- here's a link to a message board specifically for the Sea of Cortez. I'd bet that you can get all your questions answered there. I've been toying with getting our Meridian 25 over there.

For Sea of Cortez and Mexico Pacific coast information on Mexico marinas, services (Nautical Directory), news and events try looking at http://www.latitudemexico.com this site was mentioned this month on Cruising World.

La Paz and San Carlos have very good marinas and they can help with the internation process.
