Hi all,

I would like to import waypoints in the SEACLEAR navigation program, using standard NMEA $GPWPL sentences read via the com port. So far I've had no success. Has anyone done this before? Can it be done at all?

Thanks,

Plano

From the Sea Clear manual:

G7ToWin and Waypoint+ file support

G7ToWin and Waypoint+ text files are supported for import and export. The extension is used to

detect file type. Files created with G7ToWin must be of type g7t and have .g7t as extension.

Waypoint+ files must be in text format and should have a .txt extension.

Which sounds like you have to have a text file of the waypoints to import them. Live imports from a GPS download do seem to be allowed. What I normally do with a new program is export the waypoints already in the program and then open the file with a text editor and see what the format is. Then you can edit your waypoint list to match the format and import to the program.
