Default Sewage treatment

I have a Lavac head and a holding tank on board. I have been looking to upgrade the system and have discounted the composting type. I have recently received info on the Lectrasan which appears to be a good treatment system. If you have one installed on your boat or have any first hand knowledge regarding the effectiveness, reliability and worth of the Lectrasan, please let me know.

David, you'll find a thread discussing the Lectrasan at the SSCA Discussion Board - http://ssca.org/sscabb/index.php

Assuming you have adequate voltage at the unit, while under load, the unit's performance usually gets very positive remarks. It has suffered from the commercial success it deserves in the USA because we seem to treat boats differently than all the other sources of pollution.

Very handy Jack. I have plenty of battery power and it looks as though the Lectrasan could be a good choice...it's either that or clench whilst inshore. best wishes.
