Default Snubber

I have been having a wonderful time pretending to sail in the Bahamas. I went there to sail, but then there was this bloody list. I have worked my way through most of this list as the boat sat high and dry on the hard at Marsh Harbour Boatyard in Abaco.
Yay!
Anyhow. While pondering the manufacture of a new anchor snubber, I found what appears to be just a t'riffik idea. West Marine (and I expect many other places) sell the following little chap:
SIMPLY BRILLIANT AnchorSnubberâ„¢ | West Marine
Has anyone used these who will provide a review? If not feel free to comment on your impressions of these nifty little doo-dads.

It seems to me these have been designed on the same principle as fall-arresters used by people who work at heights.

Thanks Steve. It prompts me to wonder about the prevailing conditions when it failed and whether or not two in series would be a better option for a heavy boat. I have tried the rubber snubbers in the past and I don't think they are worthwhile.
Hopefully there will be more replies before crunch time, when I need to start waving the dollars about.
Thanks again.
