What's an Advanced Member?

I've suddenly realised I've been changed from a 'Senior Member' to an 'Advanced Member'.

Is this promotion up the ranks - or simply a statement about my age?

With this discussion, perhaps you can clear up some confusions I have....on occassions my wife refers to me as Admiral W. Anchor, at other times as Capt. T. Osser whilst some friends refer to me as Otto Pilot. Should I be offended?

in his early days as an AB on merchant navy vessels a friend used to be called Seaman Staines

however he worked really hard and was eventually promoted. He now sails as Master Bates.
