Hello there!

Beginning in January I will be looking for crew positions aboard cruising boats for long term cruising. My plan was to head down to Cabo San Lucas just after the new year, as I have heard that there should be a lot of boats preparing to set off from that area. But just recently I was informed that I may have 'missed the boat' so to say, for that area.

So my question is where are the boats right now?? Where should I put myself to be able to find a crew position?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

-Willy

See the Cruising Wiki's section on Hitch-Hike the Oceans as Sailing Crew. This gives a rough idea of where the cruisers are at certain times of the year.

I would think more boats leave from Puerto Vallarta, and they actually have a party celebrating this in March. Look into Latitude 38, and you will find some information, and they have a crewing listing too.......i2f
