Hi guys,

Having introduced myself in the tavern I thought I now would begin the process of squeezing you dry of information!

I have just re-wired my engine electrics and all is well. The battery is being charged, so that's a result. But I am puzzled as to where in the ignition system I fit my buzzer that says the ignition is on.

My electrics are very simple. A positive from the battery via the starter motor, the return lead back to the starter, the 'exciter' wire to the alternator via the regulator. That's it. There is also an ignition warning lamp, so how do I hook it all up to work?

I am slightly technically minded so a short sharp response should do it!

Many thanks.

Capt Mac Sparrow

I'm certainly no expert, but...

You might try connecting one of the the buzzer / light wires to an oil pressure switch. Turn the ignition on and you get a buzzer / light until the oil pressure rises and breaks the circut, thus turning the buzzer & light off. This will also alert you when the oil pressure drops.

To Life!
