That depends on where you are and which level courses you are willing to take. If you are totally new to sailing than I have a couple questions first:
1) How close to a largish body of water are you?
2)What experience do you have right now? This is experience not paperwork that says you know something, but rubber hitting the road experience. I am not against certificate programs as long as they don't end up becoming paper mills.
3) What is you goal and this and the time line you wish to achieve it in?
4)This should have been first but, where are you? As this effects which program you most likely will enter and the costs that go with it. Unless you can afford to move to another area or country and have the ability to support yourself once there.
I mean no rudeness in these questions. The answers will give those on this board as well as myself a much better possibility to help you or suggest where to go looking. There are folks here with a heck of a lot more experience and insight than me and I am no slouch in many an area.
Good Luck and Fair Winds
Michael
