Hello,

In 2007 we sailed our new boat, TENAYA, a Hallberg-Rassy 40 from the Netherlands along the coasts of Belgium, France, Spain and Portugal and we are spending the winter in Almerimar, Spain.

Our plans for 2008 are to visit the Balearics, France, Corsica, the west coast of Italy, Sardinia, Sicily and Tunisia.

During the Spring and Summer we did have a great trip around the western Med and when we reached Sicily in late August we realized that the season would be over in the next 6 weeks or so and we needed to find a home for the winter. But we are having so much fun that the idea of stopping for the winter did not appeal to us. So we have decided to make our first long passage and cross the Atlantic and spend the winter in the Caribbean.

It's a big step for us, but we are excited about the trip. We returned to Almeriar, Spain to fix some things, add a windvane and then be on our way to the Canaries.
