Future crew member.
Hello there. I noticed you did mention the position has been filled but I thought I'd volenteer anyway in case you ever have the need for another crew member. My name is Jeff Lievre, I am 32, and from Vancouver Island, Canada where I have a few years sailing experience around the Gulf and San Juan islands. I wish you all the best of luck on you upcoming adventure and hope we might get to sail together one day.
Cheers,
Jeff Lievre

Look at the date they're leaving. Dumb reply.

Yes sorry, bad choice of one word. Change 'upcoming' to 'ongoing' Thank you Haiqu for the constructive criticism.
Cheers,

Hi Jeff,
When choosing crew there's generally a period of assessment of likely candidates that closes well before they set off. If the trip had been leaving from a dock near you there might have been a chance to meet the owners at the last minute, but a 7-8 week journey starting in Greece probably isn't one you'll be selected for anyhow.
Check around your local clubs and network with anyone you know who has a yacht. There are often people doing long trips that expect to have a crew member drop out occasionally and like to have replacements available at short notice.
In any case, good luck finding a ride. It's well worth the effort. :-)
Rob
