Ashes to ashes...
Those cruisers who may not be in touch with their local news, and who are from cricket playing nations will be saddened to hear of the death of Tony Greig at the age of just 66. After being diagnosed with cancer two months ago, the cricketting legend has died following a heart attack.
The South African who became the Captain of England, moved to Australia after his retirement and earned fame as a commentator with the Nine Network. He was, alongside Kerry Packer, a driving force behind World Series Cricket which changed the game forever; earning him the title 'Godfather of Modern Cricket'.
As an Aussie and a cricket tragic, I mourn his passing and feel that world cricket has lost a true giant of a man.
