Hi all,
Does anyone know anything about a handheld maritime DSC terminal called a Digiselect? This unit was available many years ago and was made by Digiselect OY in Finland. I have had this unit for a few years but have mislaid the technical documentation that was supplied with it. The unit used to be attached to an Icom IC-M12 handheld VHF transceiver and was used for testing VHF DSC installations. Although I was able to use it of sorts, the unit did not have an MMSI programmed into it and so could only be used for receive monitoring, not for transmitter testing. I have been trying to make it work with the DSCdecoder program from COAA without success and so I have reset the memory to be able to put in a new MMSI. It now asks me a question about the squelch setting of the radio and, no matter what I do, I cannot make the firmware program proceed to the next step. If anyone anywhere knows anything about this unit, then I would be very glad to hear from them. What I really need is the pinouts of the internal 38-way connector (many not connected). I am sure that I did have the information somewhere but I have been searching for weeks but cannot find it. A thorough internet search has revealed nothing, it is as though it never existed.
With much thanks,
Kim, London.
