One final addition to the boat before we depart. After numerous headaches resulting from our old windlass, we finally decided to bite the bullet and install a Lighthouse Windlass.

It only cost a right arm and a left leg!

Ken & Laurie

Have a wonderful time doing what you have dreamed of doing for so long - enjoy!

What is your immediate route?

Keep in touch as we are going to miss you.

P.S. Question to other readers: Are you able to open the photo attachments? They only open half-way for me - possibly too big.

We head out tomorrow morning to Catalina Island for about 3 weeks to test systems and attend last Buccaneer Days. Then we are off to San Diego for start of Baja Haha Rally. We will be in Cabo by Nov.7th...then make our way over to Puerto Vallarta for Christmas at Paradise Marina with lots of friends. We plan to make the jump early March.

I will keep everyone posted via the blog which I'm reconstructing right now.

Here is to the need to raise your Boot Stripes!

I consider mine like a work of art on the bow! I've never regretted installing it that's for sure. If I'm wrapped on rocks or something I have to be careful not to pull the bow underwater!
