Every year on the first weekend of October, there is a gathering of Pirates and Wenches the likes to make Hollywood proud. The party is known as Buccaneer Days and it is held at Two Harbors (a.k.a. The Isthmus) on Catalina Island.
This year's Buccaneer Day's almost didn't happen due to a wind storm that closed the channel between the mainland and the Isthmus. After a full day of winds topping 50 knots and seas achieving 12-15ft, Saturday turned-out to be a spectacular day for the big party.
Since the Catalina Express wasn't running part of the day Friday, the croud was smaller and those that did show-up where seriously dressed for the party. Buccaneer Day's 2007 proved to be one of the best yet.
