S/v Quest Hijacking, Bob Riggle & Phyllis Macay

We just received information from M/V Furthur, Capt Brian Calvert, that we did in fact know two of the individuals killed by the Somali pirates. We met both Bob Riggle in Puerto Vallarta before we made our jump. Bob crewed with Brian on M/V Furthur. Lori & I remember Bob as a wonderful quiet guy. I especially remember him for his dry humor.

Above is a picture of the gang at our small Puerto Vallarta get together the day or two before we all made the jump to Hiva Oa. Bob is the gentleman on the far right. Lori & I are at the far left. Gloria and Gene (S/V Pincoya) are on our left and Roz and Rus (S/V Worrall Wind) next to Bob. Brian is holding the flag.

It is a tragic event...one that should never have happened!
