One thing I really miss about living in Washington, DC, our nation's capitol is the Pathway of Peace. Yes, I like the National Christmas Tree, too. But, it is the Pathway of Peace that gets me each year. There is a small Christmas tree decorated for each state, territory, and the District of Columbia. So, when you visit the National Christmas Tree, you're actually getting to visit 57 trees. You can spend hours enjoying the smaller trees, or just 30 minutes or so as the line weaves along to the larger tree.
I really miss it.
