Default The voices are in the water not in my head!

We were just talking about long ocean crossings and a guy talke about something I hav experienced, as have other people who have done long passages that we know. What we were talking about here is the mysterious voices we hear while on watch hearing the constant rhythmatic sounds of the vessel passing thru the sea. Somebody said he once heard 2 guys who were discussing where the cookies were stored and now a couple people call the voices the cookie guys! Have you heard these voices?

Would that have been Cheech and Chong?
Best wishes.

This whole thread got me singing "Song of the Sea" and I still can't get it out of my head. I must need to go to sea, right?

Default Water voices

Yes, this has happened many times on long passages usually when the sea are calm and the boat is moving slowly at 3.5 to 4 knots or so. It seems to be caused by air and small waves flowing past the hull. I never hear conversations..............only single words some which are curse words.

His stash is in the shower curtain rod man. Mermaids, crows, seagulls , sirens a singing,.”When I went down to the river and pray dreaming about them good ol’ days oh lord show me the way.
(Oh brother how art thou)
The Himalayan say yeti can talk to your mind.
The last crow alive on Lief Eriksons was released and found Canada in 1098. Apparently the crow warned the natives he was coming.
Sounds like you had the normal siren pull. Obviously they know you don’t have enough cookies on board. Watch it they sell bitcoin for Sam
