I don't SCUBA dive much. My tank never gets wet. I can sit it on the deck and, using a long breathing hose between the tank and the regulator, I can visit all underwater parts of my boat without moving the tank.

In Oz, the cost of a fill is about $8-10. But....and this is what gives me the horrors....the tanks have to be inspected and certified every year. Cost $60 + a refill. That's robbery, and when most countries only require certification every five years, I think there is something dead smelly about this.

So, if you are arriving in Oz from parts yonder, be warned, if the date stamp on your tank is more than 12 months old, you will be hit with a $60 inspection fee when you head for a refill.
