Well, after a long weekend of study, Lori & I finally passed our General Class Ham Exam.

Once I get my rig installed, you'll be able to find me at KI6HAO. Can wait to CQ DX for the first time.

Thanks guys! I'll let ya know when I get on the air. What I find stange is that we have studied many hours, taken many practice exams, sat in numerous hours of classes and passed final exams, and yet we have never once sat in front of an HF radio to communicate. We joked that even with a General Class license in hand, we don't know anything about the actual radio. However, our Yacht Club does have a Ham radio club, so they invited everone in the class to come use their rigs to get started.

Also, Richard has been a great help in finding the right rig and figuring out how to install it. Thanks Richard!

Cheers,

Ken

Congratulations you two! Amateur Radio will be a great companion for you when you are "out there".
