Hello,

The Similains are a small group of islands that lay off the west coast of Thailand. Is this a good time of year to check them out? Has anyone been there recently? Any suggestions or insite?

In a months time the North East Monsoon will have (should have) set in . Take a bus from Phuket to Thap Lemu Pier - Meuang District - Phang Nga Province : 8 degrees 33 North x 98 degrees 13 minutes East. From there by boat (3 hours) to the Similans (from the Malay word for 9 - 'Sembilan' ) nine islands - basic accommodation available at the National Park Office on Koh Miang Island.
