I have updated my web site Travels with S/Y Thetis with the 2009 cruises. The 2009 sailing season was very pleasant but there were no dramatic adventures, just lovely anchorages and meetings with old cruising friends.

This is a very personal description of the sailing trips with the S/Y Thetis, based on the boat's log. I have been traveling in Greek and Turkish waters with Thetis since 1984 but I have not kept a very detailed log until 1996 when I ventured further to Malta and Sardinia. The log is illustrated with photographs, and includes some historical and geographical descriptions of the places visited as well as several links to related web sites.

It covers part of the Black Sea, the Med, and some of the Atlantic. My notes from these trips have been the basis for my contributions to the CL Wiki.

Hi Vasilis,

You don't mention what batteries you use. That's of some interest to me at the moment because I'm researching various yacht setups re batteries, input charging (AC & genset) capaciy, internal inverter capacity, etc.

I have a bank of 6 cells total 450 aHr service batteries. This are deep discharge made for fork lifts. They are charged by a 100 a Balmar alternator with a smart regulator or a 40 a AC charger. For details see SPECIFICATIONS in Thetis.
