I'm certainly no expert, but...

the time has come!

It's been three days since we've been Damn Good and Ready. Gallivanter is provisioned, we're well rested and almost every loose-end is tied... so we're cutting our dock lines within a matter of hours.

First stop is Water Island for a few days, then eastward thru the BVI's before continuing to St Martin, St Barts, Antigua and south down the windward island chain to Grenada. We'll turn right when we sight South America and will continue west along the coastal islands off Venezeuela and Colombia until we reach Panama. We'll settle in the Bocas del Toro region of Panama for a while.

The entire voyage is roughly 1500 miles and I reckon we could easily do it in two weeks - but I'm budgeting four months to reach Bocas. Unless something compells us to stay, we'll plot a course for the Galapagos and French Polynesia sometime early next year.

We have a five year supply of Home Schooling materials stowed under Arrrrr Boy's bunk in the vee-berth.

We'll do our best to keep you posted thru our blog ... so stay tuned.

Ciao for Now.

To Life!

Kirk

Bst wishes and fair winds Kirk. I shall raise a glass in honour of your quest for the horizon....I may even raise it two...or perhaps three times.
