Don't know why it takes me so long to word what I want to say. I guess I am thinking about first impressions.

I get this visual of footprints tracking up the sandy beach. Now with that in mind. Is the tide coming in or going out? Will what I say linger long in the minds of others here reading what I have just typed, (similar to the footprints, will they be as set in concrete or washed away with the tide if I goof up my introduction.) having you think what a total fool I must be. When all I really wanted to say is "Hello, (this is a husband and wife team reading/writing the posts here.---wife typing this actual message) we are new to the cruiserlog site. We are still land-locked but hope someday soon we will be owners of some sort of water vessel. Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself/ourselves to the forums."

Thanks for reading this post.

Thanks for the welcome.

Ah, I doubt that the set of footprints shown were ours. Neither of us can carry the other. (only one set shown) Nice picture though. My husband will most assuredly post some of the many questions and thoughts we have talked about over coffee, and hopefully we will get some helpful answers from this forum. I know I am looking forward to hearing/reading all the points of views about any given subject/question.

Thanks again.

Nothing wrong with adding a little romance to the hello. After all the romance of the sea be it calm, or in a tawdry mood is why we are all here anyway. I persoanlly belive the reason for people's desire to sit by the oceanside, and watch the waves. Is to hear the heartbeat of our Mother Earth. It can calm us even on a stormy day!

Physically landlocked you may temporarily be, but those footprints are indelible in our minds as well as yours. Those are the harbingers of things to come should you allow the winds to simply blow you that direction. Much as you are welcome here to discuss, learn, and share, those prints may survive the tide and the wind to be the steps guideing others along the beachs in our minds. The beaches that we all dream of when thoughts of cruising first stir as desire. Welcome! May all of the things you visualize become far better as life's memories, even as the tides and winds have their way with them.
