Hello happy forum sailors and cyber-campers

So nice to discover a site that offers such a rich perspective on sailing and associated adventures found under the sun or stars. I'm from Ottawa, Canada...albeit I'm presently working in South Korea (for a time [on business]). I delight in all things connected with the sea...
deep ecology--ArtScience--and exploring the beauty of the ocean: is a supernatural experience in both my heart and mind. I have enjoyed sailing in my youth and now wish to rekindle that flame. Our dream is to sail the Caribbean waters, and get to know more of the tropical climes of Latin America.
I'm soon flying home for a vacation to Canada...but then, we're heading down to our pad in Holguin, Cuba...driving later on to our beach house on the sea at Calatoni, for scuba fun, and work in the art studio. I'm keen to learn many new things about the art and science of sailing--simply through reading and by exploring fascinating forums, such as this one. It seems like an amazing way to connect with people, who are like-minded, and also filled with a sense of imaginative purpose--beyond the mundane and/or at times overly 'hypermanic worlds' of the 21st century. Sailing winds the clock backwards--to the 18th century. At least in my mind. I like that.
Cheers from Seoul - James
