ahlo!! Another person to walk down this line very much interested in sailing the 7 seas!!


Very new to this whole idea but just the idea alone gives me the heeby jeebs which is marvelous. YOu guys obviously love what your doing am I right?

Any advice for a person very much new in the industry who would like to be part of a crew.

What would be recommended?

If it were me, and at one time in my life it was me. I would learn the functions of the gear on a boat. I would learn the terminology of the gear. I would take sailing lessons. By taking lessons you will be of immediate help to some one seeking help sailing. By learning the terminology you will be able to communicate with the person also. Best wishes in finding a spot on a boat. Let yourself be fore warned that sailing can be addictive, and cause what some see as insane judgement in your future......LOLOLOLOL

the HANDBOOK of SAILING by Bob Bond is a highly recommended to me (so i bought) basic, thorough sailing reference manual. good place to start.
