Hello everyone,

I just thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself. I'm a liveaboard in CA, who's been working hard getting the 'ol girl' ready for sea. I'm hoping to leave for the South Pacific sometime next year. I've been living aboard for 4 years, have done a fair share of coastal cruises, and I work in the maritime industry. I'm hoping to get my 100 ton masters before going cruising.

That's pretty much it, I enjoy all the information shared here, and thought I'd join!

Pete

Welcome, Pete!

Where are you in California? Have you spent much time coastal cruising in California?

We look forward to your contributions to the Cruiser Log.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes everyone! I'll definitely update my progress on the 100 ton, right now I'm getting the packet to send in to the coasties. I'm trying to get all my sea time in order. Hopefully I'll qualifty for the near coastal, with a 200 ton mates, and add the sail endorsement too.

Redbopeep, nope, not in Newport. I hailed out of Moss Landing for awhile, but am currently in Oakland. I do have a friend that anchors out in Newport, but I have not been down there to visit. His name is Chuck, and he lives on big steel double ender in the anchorage.
