Hello,I'm John and recently I have become very interested and passionate about boats and the sailing lifestyle and culture of it. I am from Romania and I live in Turkey now. I'm 23. 2 months ago I started to work on a boat in Turkey for a friend of mine. When I was a kid I used to read all these adventure books about pirates and sailors and I also used to draw woodboats ,so if i think back ,I guess I thought sailing was exciting for a long time ,it's just that i forgot about that until recentley, when I started my job on the boat in Turkey. So it's nice to be here ,and I hope I'll meet some interesting people and that this might open new oportunities for me. Sorry if my english isn't perfect,I'm a self taught non native speaker.

Welcome, Johnny, and please don't worry about your English. It is very good.

What kind of boat are you working on? How is it going?

In 1986 we went cruising for a few years. After 20 years and 50+ countries and several oceans, we are STILL "cruising for a few years".

I work on a wood boat in Turkey. It has like 40 years of age or something and I do my best to make it look better and fix it where it's worn out. The rain and the sun are very harsh with the boat 's wood and they damaged some of it.

it's kinda funny, cause a few days ago while on the boat ,or swimming near the boat on a break from work, I went on an island ,and everything was just so psychedelic peacefuly that I felt like a gravitational force is calling me to this lifestyle. Hard to describe, maybe you don't understand it, but while in town,a close one where we anchored I started to hate the concrete and to long for the sea. anyways,my visa is expiring here in Turkey in 2 weeks , so , due to that feeling I was telling you , I'm looking for a new opportunity close to Turkey, maybe Greece or something. This subject might not belong in this section, but I couldn't post a new one in the crewfinder section. Maybe someone can help me with that please. . I'm waiting for suggestins and oppinions and I hope this post won't be deleted Thank you for your time
